Construction Project Controls

Know your schedule's true health — in seconds, not weeks.

Grupo AE reads your Primavera P6 schedule and returns a defensible quality score, a full DCMA analysis, and a forecast you can take to the owner. Plus a layer of risk metrics no standard tool measures.

Schedule Intelligence

Upload an XER. Understand your schedule before your next meeting.

Drop a P6 file and Grupo AE does the analysis a senior scheduler would spend days on — scored, standards-based, and saved as a snapshot so you can watch health move update over update.

One clear score

A 0–100 Quality Score and A–F grade, built on DCMA logic and industry bands — so “is this schedule any good?” has an answer you can defend.

The full DCMA 14-Point

Open ends, logic density, leads & lags, constraints, high float, negative float, invalid dates, critical-path test, CPLI and BEI — every check, with the activities behind each one.

Trends over time

Each monthly update becomes a snapshot. See the score, the forecast, and float health move — and catch a schedule that’s quietly deteriorating.

The Metrics

Every standard metric — plus a lens that’s ours alone.

We don’t reinvent the math the industry already trusts. We compute it correctly, show our work, and then add measurements that reveal risk the standards miss.

Industry standard

The metrics owners and courts recognize

Score
Schedule Quality Score (0–100 · A–F)
Weighted, DCMA-aligned health grade for the whole schedule.
DCMA
DCMA 14-Point Assessment
The defense-standard checklist for schedule logic and integrity.
CPLI
Critical Path Length Index
Is the critical path realistic enough to finish on time?
BEI
Baseline Execution Index
Are you completing activities as fast as the baseline planned?
SPI
Schedule Performance Index
Progress vs. plan, normalized so it survives scope changes.
CPM
Critical Path & Total Float
Real forward/backward pass — computed, not guessed.

Risk the standards don’t show

SRH
Float Path Separation
How bunched your near-critical paths are. Tight separation = a small slip cascades. A standard float number can’t see this.
Conc.
Critical Concurrency
How many independent chains sit at the same low float — i.e. how many ways you have to be late at once.
Erosion
Float Erosion Trend
The share of work losing its buffer, update over update. Watch the schedule turn critical before the end date moves.
Anchor
Milestone-anchored analysis
Aim float at the contract milestone (TCO / Substantial) and get told when float isn’t actually protecting that date.
SIGNATURE METRIC
Float Path Separation

Two paths at zero float aren’t “compressed.” They’re concurrent.

Standard tools give you one float number per activity and stop. But five near-critical chains stacked at the same float means one bad week doesn’t delay one path — it exposes five at once. That’s fragility no DCMA check reports.

Grupo AE separates how far apart your float paths sit from how many run together, tracks both over time, and tells you whether the risk is real concurrency or a manufactured constraint. It’s the metric a claims expert would build by hand — automated.

Float ladder — near-critical paths
Each bar = one float path · gap = days of buffer to the next
8d 4d 0d 5 critical paths 6d 2d
5 critical at once · then 6 days of air · then it tightens to 2 days.
ClaimFlow

When the delay isn’t your fault — prove it.

A real CPM Time-Impact Analysis, not a spreadsheet guess. Built to the AACE Recommended Practice 29R-03 (MIP 3.7) that owners and boards expect.

FRAGNET INSERTION

Model the disruption

Insert the delay fragnet into the network and let the CPM propagate it — the way a forensic scheduler would.

BUT-FOR vs IMPACTED

Isolate the impact

Run the schedule with and without the event. EOT = impacted minus but-for — a number you can defend line by line.

CONCURRENCY

Test who really drove it

Check whether your delay, the owner’s, or both moved the finish — so the entitlement conversation starts from facts.
